Product Evangelist (AIME)
We usually respond within a day
About the role
AIME is VDP’s new agentic AI platform. This role exists to get AIME into the hands of our people and our customers fast — and make it stick. You’ll own early-stage adoption: onboarding, demos, enablement, use-case packaging, and the feedback loop that turns real usage into a better product and clearer go-to-market.
This is a growth-stage, hands-on role. You’ll be on the tools, not just writing slides.
Outcomes we care about
● VDP teams adopt AIME as a default way of working in day-to-day delivery
● New customers get to value quickly (clear “first win” in days/weeks, not months)
● Demos convert because they’re crisp, relevant, and outcome-led
● We build a repeatable library of use-cases, templates, and proof points
● Product feedback is structured, prioritised, and grounded in usage
Responsibilities
1) Drive internal adoption at VDP
● Run AIME onboarding for new starters and existing teams
● Host regular enablement sessions (“lunch & learns”, clinics, office hours)
● Create playbooks: “how we use AIME at VDP”, reusable workflows, prompt patterns, do/don’t guidance
● Identify friction points (process, UX, permissions, training gaps) and push fixes through
2) Get customers to value quickly
● Lead customer onboarding and early adoption plans (especially pilots)
● Facilitate discovery workshops that translate business problems into AIME workflows
● Support customers in building first workflows/agents and measuring impact
● Capture success stories and turn them into repeatable onboarding assets
3) Own demos and early-stage sales enablement
● Build and maintain a high-quality demo environment (with multiple industry-flavoured demo flows)
● Deliver live demos to prospects and customers (including C-level)
● Create sales enablement assets: demo scripts, battlecards, one-pagers, FAQs, “what to show when”
● Work closely with Sales to improve conversion and shorten time-to-confidence
4) Content that actually drives adoption
● Produce practical content: short videos, walkthroughs, use-case explainers, internal guides
● Create lightweight thought-leadership where useful (LinkedIn posts, webinars), but always grounded in real product capability
● Keep messaging consistent: what AIME is, who it’s for, where it wins, where it doesn’t
5) Run the feedback loop into Product/Engineering
● Gather and structure feedback (what, who, impact, frequency, workaround)
● Prioritise with the team; track progress and close the loop with users
● Use telemetry + qualitative feedback to spot drop-off points and improve activation
Key interfaces
● Sales: demos, enablement, objection handling, use-case packaging
● Engineering/Product: roadmap input, bug triage, UX friction, release comms
● Delivery teams: internal adoption and “how we ship with AIME”
● Customers: onboarding, pilots, expansion, case studies
Skills & experience
Must have
● Strong communicator: can explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
● Confident presenter: live demos, workshops, stakeholder meetings
● Commercial instincts: understands value, ROI, and what makes customers say “yes”
● Hands-on builder mindset: can learn the product deeply and make it real for people
● Highly organised: can run multiple onboardings/pilots without things slipping
Nice to have
● Experience in customer success, solutions consulting, product marketing, devrel, or enablement
● Familiarity with LLMs/agents/workflows (you don’t need to be an engineer, but you must be technically credible)
● Experience working with enterprise customers (security, governance, stakeholders, procurement reality)
Personal characteristics
● High energy, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity
● Curious and quick to learn
● Strong taste: knows what “good” looks like in a demo, a guide, a workflow
● Low ego, high ownership: does what needs doing
● Not “fluffy”: you care about adoption metrics, not vanity output
How we’ll measure success
● Internal: % of employees using AIME weekly; number of active internal users; repeat usage; documented workflows created/adopted
● Customer: time-to-first-value; pilot activation rate; expansion/renewal indicators; NPS/CSAT for onboarding
● GTM: demo-to-next-step conversion; sales cycle support effectiveness; content used by Sales and customers
Practical details
● Location: Anywhere in the world, but able to work UK hours
● Travel: Possible occasional customer visits and events
● Reports to: CEO
